SEPTEMBER – OCTOBER NEWSLETTER
Although you can’t really feel it yet, fall is in the air and that brings all of us back to school, the kids and adults
as well. Every time you take a class, you learn something new. So book your time and join us for some fun. Check out the
class schedule and calendar for classes coming for the next couple of months.
We had a great time with Kids Kamp this summer. The children were fast learners and made some wonderful
projects. We had so much fun that we are going to start Kids Sew Saturday on the first Saturday of each month. We
will meet from 10:00-1:00 and will be working on small projects.
Our Seasonal Block of the Month is in full swing and continues on September 27th and October 18th. If the
participants keep up with their blocks they will have a finished quilt for the holidays.
Join us for Sit and Stitch every Tuesday from 2:00-5:00. Bring in your project and get extra help or work on
your own. We always have a great time!
Check the calendar for the “Bee Hive Stingers’” meetings on alternate Tuesdays. We have a lot of fun, working,
eating, laughing , eating more – from 5:30-8:00. Bring a bag supper and we will provide the dessert!
Our newest arrivals are “In the Pink” and “Mocha Meringue” – the full lines are here and they look great! We
have a great selection of civil war prints and batiks as well as those fabulous 30’s. Come on in and check it out!
The last Monday of October (27th) from 6:30-8:30 we will be working on the Civil War Love Letter Quilt Blocks.
Join us and learn about the love letters sent home during the war. One of them from Rutherford B. Hayes, our 19th
president – learn a little history, sew some blocks, have some chocolate, begin the quilt. This will be a monthly project.
Something new has been added to our schedule. We have been approached and will be offering a Home
School Sewing Program which will last eight weeks. A very exciting time to encourage and teach children to learn to
Please remember, our classroom is available for customer use when classes are not scheduled – if you need the
If there is a class you would like to take or are interested in learning but don’t see on the calendar, please let us
know and we can add it to our schedule.
A heartfelt thank you to all who have entered our doors, it’s wonderful to share our knowledge with one another. A
special thanks to my son-in-law John and his Dad Clarence for getting my web site up and running; we are continuing to
Happy quilting/sewing to all
