The air is brisk and refreshing and the holidays are upon us whether we like it or not. It really is a special
time of year and I love Christmas – its magical. To help create some magic in everyone’s lives, we have
some fun and fast projects that you can whip up for gifts for yourself, family, friends or your home. Check
the calendar for the classes offered. All are welcome who have the ability to sew by machine or by hand.
Our Seasonal Block of the Month ended in October and most everyone is putting the final touches on their quilt.
We have another starting in the Spring so if you are interested, please do stop in and see a picture of the quilt, it’s
another beauty with soft colorations – sign up now so I can order fabric early.
We started working on the Civil War Love Letter Blocks and had a great time – the shop is closed on Monday
evenings so we can stretch out to avoid crowding. If you are interested, it’s not too late to be included, just give
me a call – it’s the last Monday of each month until we are done – you receive 6 blocks per month plus one
free pattern.
We continue to encourage and work with children so we can keep quilting and sewing alive – they are a lot of fun
and we offer a Kids Sew Saturday – check the calendar for the dates. A different project will be offered each month –
please call to register.
If you have a Featherweight and are concerned about the maintenance, Sandy will be offering her expertise in a
special class aimed at general maintenance to keep these babies humming.
Thanksgiving is a time for all of us to be thankful and in appreciation of all my lovely customers, I am offering
“GIVING THANKS SALE DAYS” on November 28th & 29th. Come one come all for a 20% discount on your purchase
– if you include Fall and/or Christmas, take an additional 10%. Sale Shelves are at 75% discount.
Please do mark your calendar and join us on December 20th for a holiday open house. Refreshments for all in a
cozy surrounding plus a lovely door prize. A new block of the month (17” blocks) will be on display in two color
waves – your choice. This will start on January 24th and continue throughout the year on the 4th Saturday at 9:30
every month. Everything will be precut so all you have to do is sit, recut, sew and square up. $7.50 a month -

Open Sew continues every Tuesday afternoon 2:00-5:00 and the Stingers meet alternate Tuesdays from 5:30-8:30
– join us, we always have fun plus eat delicious snacks.
