Hi Everyone:
It looks and feels like Spring is on the way, the birds are happy and I think I heard peepers. We are all thawing out and warming up from the cold that was upon us, although we are not out of the woods just yet, the next couple of months are always on the edge. Hopefully everyone is well and escaped the nasty flu bugs. The shop has been busy planning the calendar and there are some great classes coming up. If we have something on display and no class listed we can accommodate you, just let us know..we can also work around your calendar if time permits to do a special class that you may be interested in. Please do check our schedule of classes and our calendar for events.
Please do come in and visit the shop and check out our new fabrics and our latest addition of the full line of Presensia Egyptian Cotton Long Staple Sewing Thread (it's beautiful) and our line of felted wool products.
Don't miss our Tailgate Party on February 7th - pregame festivities with hot and cold snacks, good friendship and great bargains. Pull a football for your discount...wear your team colors for an additional 10% discount. Make a touchdown with our goody door prize basket. Pregame starts at 2:00 and ends at 4:30. FREE DEMOS (LOCKER HOOKING & BINDING) Hope to see you!
Our planning includes a new Build a Quilt with the Bee Block of the Month starting on the second Saturday of each month beginning February 13th at 9:30 - we will build it together in blue & yellow or reds and greens, its your choice - pieces will be precut so you can basically pick up the kit, sit and sew - two blocks per month for $8.00/month. Registration is required in advance..the only rule is that you cannot pick up the block before the date and time posted. A finishing kit will be available.
Do you love to embroider by hand? If so, register for the Roly Poly Circus Animals BOM - copied from old quilts, the animals are all rounded in shape and look great with variegated thread - your choice. Pre-registration is required and we start on February 27th and the last Saturday of every month thereafter. Cost is $5.00 per month.
SAVE THE DATE - The latest news that is really exciting is that we will be participating in a Mid Carolina Run Shop Hop involving eleven shops on June 22nd through June 26th, 2010. Bookmarks will be available soon so mark your calendar for a fun event!
